✧ June 7, 2026 ✧
I have been working on new designs and techniques and enjoying the outdoors whenever possible.
I fell in love twice in the past few weeks: once with the art of cloisonné enamel, which I am now exploring, and the other time with a little song sparrow that built a tiny nest in a young cedar in the front yard.
One day in late May, we discovered four miniature eggs in a little nest near the front entrance. I observed, from a distance, for two weeks, how the mama bird stayed in her nest most of the time, flying to a nearby taller tree from time to time, where she’d greet me with joyful chirps.
She didn’t seem to mind our comings and goings, and I felt this lovely connection between us. The very hot days concerned me, so I often placed fresh water outside for her.
The days passed, and in early June we suddenly discovered an empty nest. With a heavy heart, I wondered what had happened, but came to terms with the fact that our property is surrounded by large birds, hawks, blue jays, crows, and other wild visitors.
I learned then that song sparrows will mate and build several nests over the summer until they succeed. So, I simply hoped that my little friend was well and safe.
A couple of days later, I saw her flying from branch to branch on her favorite tree beside the house. She stayed there for a while, as if she wanted to reassure me that she was alright.
Nature is so beautiful, even if we don’t always understand its ways.
This adorable song sparrow has stirred my creativity with poetic sparks.
Stay tuned, this little bird may soon find its way into a new creation.✨
Stay safe, little birdie. You inspired me. ❤️

My New Adventure in Jewelry Making: Cloisonné Enameling
I was gifted the book The Art of Enameling by Linda Darty over a decade ago. At the time, I was immersed in metalworking, wire art, and lampworking, and never imagined I would one day explore enameling myself.
Years passed, and somehow this beautiful art form found its way to me.
Over time, I felt the desire to express myself through more color and texture. I experimented and created many pieces using titanium anodizing, a process that produces brilliant colors naturally on metal, and gemstones have always brought color, energy, and meaning to my work. Still, I found myself searching for new ways to express my creativity, something that could add not only color, but also shape, texture, contrast, and the ability to tell inspiring stories.
Cloisonné is an ancient technique that combines metal, glass, and wire. Fine silver wires are carefully shaped and attached to a metal surface that has been previously prepared with a base coat of enamel. These wire shapes, formed by hand using tweezers, create small cells that are then filled with finely ground colored glass. The piece is fired repeatedly in a kiln, as the glass shrinks during firing and must be built up in layers. Once complete, the surface is ground and polished until the silver lines shine flush with the smooth enamel.
This remarkable art form has a history spanning thousands of years. Early examples appeared in ancient Egypt and Greece, later flourishing in the Byzantine Empire, where artisans created magnificent religious icons using delicate gold and wirework. The technique eventually reached China, where it became famous during the Ming Dynasty under the Jingtai Emperor. By the late 19th century, artists in Japan and Russia had also mastered the craft, producing intricate works celebrated for their beauty and refinement.
Below are a few images of my first cloisonné enamel pieces, featuring a hummingbird and an orchid, two symbols that hold a special place in my heart. I am excited to continue exploring this fascinating art form and look forward to sharing new creations with you. As always, I would love to hear your thoughts, comments, or ideas for future designs.

Creative Invitation
Playing with Colors
During my Sunday meditation, I found myself noticing the mosaic of colors created by the decorative glass in the window, casting tiny fragments of flowing light and energy throughout the room.
Colors carry a unique vibration and can subtly influence our mood, enhancing different feelings and emotions. Red is associated with vitality and strength, orange with creativity and enthusiasm, yellow with joy and confidence, green with balance and growth, blue with peace and communication, indigo with intuition, and violet with inspiration and spiritual connection.
So I thought: Why not connect with color in a more intimate way?
There is no need to know how to draw or create anything recognizable. Begin by allowing random shapes, lines, spirals, and geometric forms and let them emerge naturally. Let the simple act of movement become part of the experience.
Unlike coloring a pre-made coloring page, this is a more kinetic and expressive process. Creating these random shapes engages different parts of the brain, encouraging spontaneity, movement, and creative exploration. It helps release mental tension, emotions or energy that may feel stuck.
Now reach for your colored pencils and begin filling the shapes. There is no need to stay inside the lines or strive for perfection, as many of us were encouraged to do in childhood. Play with different colors, let them wander where they wish, and notice which ones resonate with you.
Spend a few minutes with this simple exercise and observe how your mind becomes more fluid, playful, and creative. This will help move energy, awaken the imagination, and reconnect with the joy of creating without expectations.

Natali’s Beautiful Art
I am truly grateful for this beautiful hand-painted artwork from my talented client, Natali Schmitz.
The hummingbird she painted is especially meaningful to me, as it represents a symbol I deeply cherish. Along with this lovely artwork, she also sent roses from her garden, handpicked seashells, a beautiful bracelet and heartfelt handwritten notes filled with poetry and encouragement.
Meeting and connecting with kind, creative souls like Natali is one of the greatest gifts of this journey. Her thoughtfulness, positive messages, and continued support have touched me deeply and serve as a wonderful reminder of the meaningful connections that can grow through art.
She is also the author of The Geometry of Us, a blog filled with thoughtful reflections, inspiring stories, and observations that encourage a deeper connection with life and with ourselves.
Stay magical, Natali!

In 2020 I received a call from a magical couple: Pia Orleane and Cullen Barden Smith.
We talked for a long while about their beautiful work and their interest in having me custom make two Atlantis rings for them.
Pia, a respected Intuitive, Astrologer, and Author, and Cullen, an Empathic Intuitive, Visionary, and Interstellar Communicator. Pia provides Pleiadian-Earth Energy astrological charts, Intuitive readings, and Alternative Health consultations to clients worldwide. In 2018 Pia received the Nautilus (“Better Books for a Better World”) Gold Award for her deeply reflective book Sacred Retreat–Using Natural Cycles to Recharge Our Lives. Pia joins Cullen in the joyous life work and complete partnership of bringing Laarkmaa’s love and wisdom to the world for the evolution of humanity.
They are among the kindest souls I have ever met, and I was deeply honored to create these two special rings for them. Over the years, they have gifted me their beautiful books and calendars and continue to send inspiring cards in the mail. Their generosity and thoughtfulness have touched me deeply.
Thank you, Pia and Cullen. You are beautiful messengers of love and light.
You can find their books and Oracle Cards on local bookstores or on Amazon!
